A Mind Without Vision

A Mind Without Vision...

Recently during a briefing at work one of the presenters told a story about how her teenage son made a vision board because he wanted to purchase a car. On the board he posted a picture of the car along with some other goals he wanted to achieve. He placed the board somewhere he would constantly see it. And long story short, he was finally able to purchase the car he wanted. This young man was focused. Constantly having a reminder that he saw daily was surely a help to maintain his focus.

The truth of the matter is, your consciousness can shape reality. What you focus on will generally take root, grow and manifest itself. While learning and executing YAH’s law should always be at the forefront of our minds, as Proverbs 29v18 tells us “Were there is no vision, the people are let loose, But blessed is he who guards the Torah.”

So I thought, how can I implement something like this. Having a plate full of deadlines, commitments, a long list of responsibilities, and etc can leave you discombobulated and frazzled. Making a vision board may just be what I need to help narrow my focus and quiet my conscious enough to achieve both short and long term goals. The next obvious question is... well, how do I make a vision board! :)

While a vision board doesn’t have to be physical (there are digital options as well) I wanted to exploit the idea of having something that I could see and touch. With a plethora of choices such as posterboard, whiteboards, magnetic boards etc.,  ... I chose a double sided corkboard that was on sale. After choosing what you will use, browse through magazines, newspapers, or photo albums for pictures you can use. You can be as creative or as simple as you like. Whatever will help keep you focused and motivated is the way to go! After choosing pictures or wording that match your goals, post them on the board in whichever way is most logical to you.

Now it’s time to place your board somewhere you will see it daily!

Making a vision board is only half the battle, you have put in the work! And ultimately, by staying focused and working hard, with the Most High’s help you will achieve your goals!

I’m currently in the process of creating my vision board, but will definitely add a picture to this post when it’s completed. If you decide to make one, or have your children make one, please send us a picture so that we can post that too. Also, please comment below and share some of the things that help to keep you focused on achieving your goals!

Here are a couple examples I found:
